I have a confession to make.
Spam is my favorite luncheon meat (my favorite meat itself). It is the greatest food invention after chocolate. I cannot stress enough how tasty it is. Every taste and bite of this meat brings my tastebuds to a sodium-rich heaven where they bounce in joy with every other spam-lover's tastebuds out there. I'm not a fan of savory foods (as many of you know), but I do make a huge exception for spam.
Whenever I have some Spam leftover, I try to incorporate it into my meals. There are tons, and tons of recipes which include spam in them; my favorite being the classic spam, eggs, tomatoes, and rice. I was craving for some this afternoon and decided to make some.
Geez, just look at that. Having the egg yolk dribble all over the rice. Yummmm!
I previously blogged about making some teriyaki salmon steaks. I first marinaded them in a sauce that included teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and honey. Left it in the fridge for about 20 minutes, and then pan fried it.
Turned out to be a little blackened, just because of the evaporated soy sauce, but it was a fine meal indeed. I added some jasmine rice, and fresh spinach topped with the marinade I used for the fish.
Cheers, everyone.
